Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon portions
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
  • Lemon wedges, for serving
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

RECIPE

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375-400°F or 190-200°C). Ensure the grill grates are clean and lightly oil them to prevent sticking.

  2. In a small bowl, combine the olive oil, smoked paprika, ground black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt to create a marinade.

  3. Pat the salmon portions dry with paper towels and place them on a plate or in a shallow dish. Brush both sides of the salmon portions with the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow the salmon to marinate for about 15-30 minutes at room temperature to allow the flavours to penetrate.

  4. Once the grill is preheated, place the salmon portions skin-side down on the grill grates. Close the lid and grill for about 4-5 minutes, depending on the thickness of the salmon portions.

  5. Carefully flip the salmon portions using a spatula and grill for an additional 4-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

  6. Once the salmon is cooked to your liking, remove it from the grill and transfer it to a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the grilled salmon portions and garnish with chopped parsley.

  7. Serve the Grilled Salmon Portions with Pepper and Smoked Paprika immediately, alongside your favourite side dishes such as roasted vegetables, rice, or salad. Enjoy the smoky, spicy, and succulent flavours of this delicious grilled salmon dish!
