Salmon Fillet with Maple Butter
Baking salmon fillets with a luscious maple butter glaze elevates this dish to a whole new level of deliciousness. The natural sweetness of the maple syrup melds perfectly with the rich, buttery flavour, creating a mouthwatering coating that caramelizes beautifully as it bakes.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 salmon fillets ( Tasmanian Salmon - Ora King Salmon )
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme (optional)
- Lemon wedges, for serving
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
RECIPE
- Preheat your oven to 200°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each fillet.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, maple syrup, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped thyme (if using). Mix until well combined. – Or the Costi’s Maple Butter sauce
- Spoon the maple butter mixture evenly over the top of each salmon fillet, spreading it out with the back of the spoon.
- Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake the salmon for 12-15 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Serve the salmon fillets hot, garnished with lemon wedges and chopped fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy!
