  • 1kg clean baby octopus
  • 1⁄2 cup sweet chilli sauce
  • 1⁄4 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • Vegetable oil
  • Lime or lemon, cut into wedges


  1. In a bowl, combine sweet chili sauce, tomato sauce, honey, and garlic, ensuring a thorough mix.
  2. Add the clean baby octopus to the bowl, stir well, and let it marinate for a minimum of two hours.
  3. Heat a fry pan or flat BBQ grill and use a small amount of vegetable oil.
  4. Cook the marinated octopus on the hot surface for 3-4 minutes, turning frequently until it is cooked through.
  5. Allow the cooked octopus to cool slightly.
  6. Serve the octopus on a bed of salad, accompanied by a wedge of lime or lemon.
