Largely popular due to similarities to salmon, ocean trout has a distinctive rosy pink/orange flesh. An excellent source of protein, niacin, vitamin B12, and Omega-3 fatty acids makes ocean trout an ideal eating fish.
The flavor is more subtle and less salty than Atlantic or farmed salmon, and tastes better according to many chefs. Ocean trout can be prepared in a variety of ways including raw for sashimi or a delicious ceviche.
